The buzz and hype surrounding self-driving cars, where the first some off the first real projects came from great companies like Google. We can still follow them on links like this where there are selling points on why this “need” to happen. I believe in computers and technology but I have seen more than ones how stupid they can operate so for now I think there is more work to be done and also the assumptions given in the ideal world has some distanse to go…
Earlier this week there was news about Tesla having some issues with unauthorized access via remote access This is not the first time access has been “granted” according to this post .
In the ideal world most theory work according to theory, but sorry to say that the ideal world seldom is the mainstream. One factor that often play a role here is not rational (what ever rational is..) human beings. This makes theory a bit more difficult in real life.
Self-driving cars is in my world just one more of the elements that need to be looked closer at in the end to end IoT security discussion. I believe that we have a long way to go even if the work around standards in the industry helps on pushing in the right direction.
Take on some more physical infrastructure to keep track of all the data also and we can get closer to a ; home run!
For now I stay with the real controls and sound of V8, enjoy …. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgCKvQ-Ae28
