I have for some time been looking at parts of the security business and my personal opinion is that there must be better ways of making the lives of users more “protected” than I believe the security business is offering today. For me there is not much difference between the business users or the private users. Looking at some of the trends from the past the players in this business I can see the development off nett centric solutions as a way to solve “parts” off the security challenges out there..
What about moving the setups out there to more central places on the Internet. Could that be done? Who need to talk to make a change? One of my favorites on this move are the Telcos, operators and carriers that live off moving IP packages around the world. Some off them even own the physical networks.. can one come closer to the source? The world of Internet Exchanges can in my opinion be a starting point. I have been throwing around ideas for some time now and I have a high level “drawing” schematics on what I think is doable.. main reason for me to think that there are openings to make a difference is that the Telcos among others need to get more economy out of their in mind today, more and more dumb pipes..:-)
So how can this be done..? I am not suggesting the “solutions” that some countries belive is the right solution…. I am working from the opposite side.. the first steps towards the private “personal” cloud where the network owners actually work together to bring back the belief that Internet actually “protects” its users..
