This post is not about the terrible conflicts around the world but more to maybe question some of the “answers” that some experts seems to bring forward as a tool to have insight into what goes on in the World of communication… To be hones and if in doubt I have some serious doubts about many aspects of the when/how/why/etc. that should be brought forward when the suggestions of monitoring “everything”….
I wonder where the suggestions come from and even more, where are the ones asking questions? We could start with the technical questions.. or maybe the ones that suggest this is not technical? So again waste off time… I will not bother go into other aspects that comes to mind.. but fresh air seems like a good medicine for some off the “theoretical” thinkers out there… It helps..
Encryption has been a sort off “made harder” to listen in to… but the past days has shown that it might be better than some off us have thought..
In great articles like this with Tim Cook (Apple) has given me some hope that maybe some politicians might listen in to the business side off privacy.. guess not….. looking at the development after the terrible events the past weeks and what now seem to be “fuel” from the same groups that want full insight and encryption is a hurdle…
Sorry to see that there is silence among the protectors of “privacy” now when they should come up with alternatives..
There are alternatives in many countries when it comes to getting insight into traffic data, without mirroring everything.. It might be naive to say this but the court order “system” do work..even if it is slow at times.. so why not evolve such a system?
I have nothing against mirroring all traffic data.. as long as there is a track record or some sort off authentication mechanism “tracking” the “watchers”…
Using encryption tools can be a way to keep track of your information…. but it is challenged from some that use all means to track everyone to try to find the few..
Hopefully we do not need to go back to “walks in the park” to be able to have a private conversation.. That in my world is a hug step back in time….
